For the committed and passionate dancer, with a desire to perform. The Competition Team will have the opportunity to travel to 2 dance competitions throughout the school year. Being a part of the Competition Team allows dancers to perform together and learn the importance of teamwork. We believe in teaching our dancers time management as well as good sportsmanship. This program offers dancers the chance to learn choreography and technique in many different genres of dance. Our goal is to help team members become versatile, creative and passionate artists.
Mini Team: Thursdays 5 - 6p
Petite Team: Tuesdays 5 - 6p, Tuesdays 6 - 6:45p (Hip Hop)
Mondays 7:30 - 8:30p (Contemporary)
Wednesdays 7:45 - 8:45p (Ballet)
Thursdays 6 - 7p (Jazz),

Class requirements and pricing for the 2017-2018 season will be based on team level. Plan for 2-3 hours minimum per week of classes.

Alainna Batchelor is an emerging artist who has been training in dance for the past 18 years. Alainna began her training at Fancy Dancer in Dublin, Georgia under the direction of Laura Carswell and continued dancing under Abby Avery, Gilda Loyd and Mario Mitchell. Through her years of training at Fancy Dancer, Alainna developed her skills in Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Hip-Hop. As a dancer with the company, she won various awards at numerous competitions.
Alainna has had the the opportunity—through many master classes—to take from many renowned teachers and choreographers. After graduating high school, Alainna was honored to become the Hip-Hop Director at Fancy Dancer. She discovered a love for teaching dance and a talent for creating award-winning choreography. Alainna went on to Valdosta State University where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance.
Nuvo Dance Competition awarded Miss Batchelor Hip-Hop dance "Studio Pick" and "Best Nu Group." Her choreography was also recognized at Starquest Dance Competition. While in college she fell in love with Modern Dance and began to study in depth. Alianna recently performed and presented choreography at the American College Dance Conference. In addition, The Communication Arts Department at VSU awarded her with the "Creative Research Award" in dance. She is currently attending Master Degree classes and training in the Atlanta area.

All dancers are placed by ability and skill level. Dancers are invited or recommended by instructor for program. New dancers to Giselle DiBlasi School of Ballet are encouraged to take an audition class to be assessed.
